Established in 1975, St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11 serves the Town of Pearl River and the surrounding areas with a commitment to safety and emergency response. The district operates three fire stations, two of which are staffed 24/7, and is home to over thirty dedicated firefighters.
The district covers most of the incorporated areas of Pearl River and extends along Interstate 59 from mile markers 3 to 7. Through a mutual aid agreement with St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 7, they also assist in calls along Interstate 59 to the Mississippi state line.
In addition to fire protection, the district provides Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and operates an ambulance for the community. They also collaborate with Acadian Ambulance Service to enhance emergency medical support for residents.
